Slow Carb – Day 2

This morning started out with a high protein meal consisting of 3 x eggs scrambled with mushroom and spinach served with half a can of lentils.  Enjoyed this with a cup of French pressed Brazilian coffee.

For lunch I ate the chicken chili I made over the weekend.

For an afternoon snack I had some almonds, carrots and a red bull.  No pics necessary.

Dinner was composed of salmon made with a ginger, lemon, jalapeño and cilantro seasoning.

Saved one for lunch tomorrow!

Then, in the same seasoning for the salmon mixed with soy sauce (dark and light), and honey, I stir fried the chicken amd mixed it with some broccoli.  It was served with lentils and a glass of New Zealand Malbec.

Til tomorrow!

Slow Carb – Day 3

Day 3 without white carbs and glutinous foods (e.g. Bread, cakes, scones).  I don’t have a craving for these things except when I’m hungry.  But when I do get hungry I will eat almonds, carrots or just have something that has no gluten.

My breakfast was made up of salmon, eggs, lentils, and spinach.  Quite simple to make and here it is:

For lunch I had a portion of salmon (made last night) with broccoli and lentils.  It’s fulfilling.  I eat this after I went to the gym.

During the day I had carrots and munched on almonds.

Now on to dinner:

Starving so a quick meal consisting of pre marinaded chicken from MnS and then a concoction of lentils, carrots, spinach, jalapeños, red onions, garlic, and cilantro.  Added fish sauce and tomato purée.  Not bad.

Add to that the remainder of the New Zealand Malbec.

Lovely day and now relaxing watching Mr. Robot.  Crazy show!

Slow Carb – Day 19

It’s about day 19 now and I have been keeping as close to a slow carb diet as I can. My weight hasn’t changed significantly but I may have lost a pound or two.  This morning I weighed in at 164.4 lbs (naked).  Been tracking in my diary.  I will fluctuate from as high as 166-169 in the evenings and then in the morning 164-165.

Here’s my delicious slow carb breakfast:

I gotta say the Joseph Joseph steamer is bril.  Yes it’s just a microwaveable pot so essentially you could just hung everything into a glass Tupperware.  But if you want one specifically for microwaving than this is pretty good.  I just throw all these ingredients in and then nuke it for 5 min on 600-750 watts.
